CHART RIGHT-CLICK MENU
The charting software has an extensive "Right-Click Menu". This Right-Click menu serves as your shortcut to a number of tools found in various other menus throughout the charting. Take your mouse and right-click on an empty spot (E.g. no candles, indicators, alerts, etc.) inside any chart, and the chart's Right-Click menu will pop opened.
Here is a breakdown of the Right-Click menu option definitions:
Allows you to change the of the chart you are in.
Provides data from the chart at that specific location of your mouse. to learn about Display Data.
Converts the current chart type into a Point & Figure style chart.
When you scroll over this, a secondary pop-up menu appears with many options as follows:
- Add Price Alert: Allows you to create using the following methods:
- Price Above XZY: Create/add Simple Price Alert above a specified price.
- Price Below XYZ: Create/add Simple Price Alert below a specified price.
- Price at XYZ: Create/add a Simple Price Alert at a specified price.
- Delete Price Alert: Deletes a Simple Price Alert (the Right-Click menu must be opened on the specific price alert you wish to delete.
- Customized Alert: Opens the IntelliScript feature to the tab in order for you to create/code using .
- Delete Customized Alert: Opens the IntelliScript feature to the tab, which allows you to delete scripts you created.
- Generate Historical Customized Alerts: This generates historical alerts, you will see all the buy/sell entries and buy/sell exits as outlined in your script over the period you are currently viewing. Reviewing these historical alerts is one method of backtesting the script attached to the chart.
- Manually Add Buy/Sell Positions: Allows you to add a buy/sell to the chart manually. Once a buy/sell signal is added, you with then have the option to add a buy/sell exit to simulate real trading.

- Delete All Buy/Sell Positions: Deletes all buy/sell and buy/sell exits on the chart generated by using a script or any other tool on the Chart Right-Click menu.
- Customized Alert Performance Summary: A popup a summary of the positions located on the chart (this report will only generated data when there are positions on the chart, such as after using Generate Historical Customized Alerts). The summary includes:
- Gross total profit/loss
- Total number of trades
- Average P/L per trade
- Maximum cumulative loss (Drawdown)
- Winning trade number
- Losing Trade number
- Winning ratio
- Largest Profit
- Largest Loss
- Average Profit
- Average Loss
- Largest Profit/Largest Loss
- Average Profit/average Loss
- Open Short at (or Long depending on the last open position)
- Time (time the current open position opened)
- Position (P/L of current open position)
- Customized Alert Performance Detail: A more detailed version of the Customized Alert Performance Summary that includes details on each entry/exit point. This report is a text document and will open in Microsoft Notepad allowing you to save each report to your computer. The details for the entry/exit positions include:
- Date
- Time
- Price
- Trade Type
- Lot#
- P/L
- Total P/L
- Drawdown
- Customized Alert Performance Detail (Contract): Provides a detailed summary of a specific contact. The exact contract name is needed to generate the report.
- IntelliReport (Beta): IntelliReport allows you to review and analyze your trades using many different tools. It is broken down into three separate tools: Equity Curve, Trade List, and Trade Analysis. Once IntelliReport opens, you will see the Equity Curve Line for your trading session in addition to a Strategy and Summary window. To learn more about the .
When you scroll over this, a secondary pop-up menu appears with many options as follows:
- Launch Duplicate Chart: Creates an exact copy of the chart you are using in a new window.
- Print: Will print the current chart you are working in using the settings defined on the tab of the "Options" menu.
- Set as Default Style: Uses the settings of the current chart (such as color scheme and indicators) as the default for any new chart added using "General", "Add Single Chart".
- Adjust Y-Axis Scale: Adjusts the Y-Axis scale (prices on right column). Once this option is check, four arrow will appear, two at the top of the price channel and two on the bottom. As you click the arrow, the price channel will widen and narrow according to arrows used. Once done, you can click this option again to remove the arrows.
- Copy: Creates a copy of the various chart settings of the chart, including indicators & color scheme used on the current chart to your clipboard so you may paste onto another chart.
- Paste: Pastes the last selection that was copied using the "Copy" function (above) to the chart you are on now on.
Change Individual Bar Color
Changes the color of the current bar (the bar on which the Chart Right-Click menu opened).
Exports the open, high, low and close for each bar in addition to the values of all the indicators for the entire range of the chart viewed. The data can be exported using:
- To a File: Saves a text file on your computer, you will be prompted to select the name and location.
- To Clipboard: Copies the data to the clipboard making it so you can paste into applications such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
Shows the open, high, low and close for each bar and indicator for the chart range in Microsoft Notepad.
Displays the values of the Pivot Points attached to the chart (for more information on attaching Pivot Points.
Controls the ability to view or hide toolbars as well as alert/indicator names that are visible on the top portion of the current chart.
- Toolbar: Shows the chart toolbar (icons)
- Menubar: Shows the chart menus (File, View, Chart Type, Time Scale & Period, Drawing and Indicators)
- Indicator and Script Legend: Show the names of the Indicators and Scripts (Alert names) attached to the chart.
Locks the current chart so no other chart can move over it. If you minimize the software, this chart will also stay 'on-top' of other programs.
Switch Default Fibonacci Settings
Toggles between the Value 1 and Value 2 .
- Fibonacci Set 1: Fibonacci settings under Value 1.
- Fibonacci Set 2: Fibonacci settings under Value 2.
Adds a vertical line on the chart where the Right-Click menu was opened.
Adds a horizontal line on the chart where the Right-Click menu was opened.
Adds text on the chart where the Right-Click menu was opened.
This menu allows you to change the color settings of the current chart. For more details on each of these items, please click here to visit the section of the manual. When you scroll over this, a secondary pop-up menu appears with many options as follows:
- New: Allows you to create a new color scheme; this will launch the "Color Scheme" menu located in the tab under "Options".
- Compose: Allows you to modify an existing color scheme.
- Switch: Changes the current color scheme to one of the following:
- Default Scheme 1(Dark): Black and Grey background.
- Default Scheme 2 (Light): White and off white background.
- Customized Color Scheme: A color scheme that is created by you, so it will reflect your own customized name.
- Copy: Copies the current color scheme to the clipboard.
- Paste: Pastes the current color scheme saved on the clipboard, thereby allowing you to paste the color scheme into another chart.
This is a shortcut tool that will allow you to customize the change the color various settings within the chart, globally for that , as if you were using the Color Scheme menu.
Items that can be adjusted are:
- Background Band 1
- Background Band 2
- Positive Bar
- Negative Bar
- Positive Last Bar
- Negative Last Bar
- Y-Axis Label
- X-Axis Label
- Calendar Day Marker
- Live Price
- Y-Axis
- Chart Margin
- Indicator Lines
You will need to carefully click directly on which ever item you wish to adjust the color, e.g. to change the color of all Negative bars for that color scheme, right-click directly on one of the Negative bars. When you right-click on it, the Right-Click menu will open and you will see towards the bottom, "Custom Color: Negative BAR" as pictured here. A new window will open with a custom color palette, select the color and choose OK to apply the color change.
Custom Font: X and Y Axis
Globally changes the font size on the X (time on bottom of chart) or Y-axis (prices on the right column).
