Accessing Auto Trade Manager

There are multiple datafeed connections available upon login to the Charting software. Currently this Auto Trade Manager version supports only FXCM accounts. This is a system that mixes auto and manual trading functions.

Follow these steps to access the Auto Trading Manager or ATM:

  1. Log into the Charts.

  2. From the Charting software's main window, choose "Trade" - this is located to the left of the "Help" menu option. When you click on Trade a drop down menu will appear, choose "Auto Trade Manager".



  3. In order to proceed to the ATM, you will be required to review and Agree to the Disclaimer, which is in the form of a Click on Agreement. Once you have reviewed the Disclaimer Agreement and terms, choose "I Agree" to proceed.

  4. The ATM window will open and you must login with your broker account ID and Password. After successfully logging in, you will see "LOGGED IN..." in the Status window, to the right of login.

 

How to Execute Trades from ATM

There are four different ways to execute a trade using ATM:

  1. Market order from Chart
  2. Direct Market order on broker account
  3. Send order from IntelliScript™ Strategy
  4. Send order from Server Strategy
  1. Market order from Chart

    This trade is executed from the charts directly.

    1. Right-click on the chart in which you which to execute a trade.

    2. A pop-up menu will appear, click on the first item, "Marker Order from Chart"



    3. A small window called "Create a Market Order" will appear.



      Enter your criteria for the Buy/Sell fields and for Amount(k). When you have entered all of your criteria*, click "OK".

      *Non-US based account holders also have the option to set Stop and Limits on the order.

    4. The corresponding signal will be drawn on the chart.



      After the signal is drawn on the chart, you will see a summary of the trade in the ATM, under the tab labeled "Accounts", in the section "Open Positions". On the left half, labeled "Charts" under Strategy, you will see "Chart MO". On the right side of "Open Positions" you will see the broker side, where the market order is also displayed with corresponding ticket information.



  2. Direct Market order on broker account

    You may send a direct market order from ATM to your broker. This action is executed from the Accounts tab of the ATM.

    1. Click on "Accounts", then under "Open Positions", click on the button "Direct Market Orders to Broker":



    2. A small window called "Create a Market Order" will appear.



      Enter your criteria for the Buy/Sell fields and for Amount(k). When you have entered all of your criteria*, click "OK".

On the right side you will see the broker information, where the market order is again displayed with corresponding ticket information.

  3. Send order from IntelliScript™ Strategy

    This option allows users to execute a trade based on a strategy created using IntelliScript™. This trade is executed from the ATM using an Alert created from the IntelliChart™ Desktop's IntelliScript™. The Desktop IntelliScript™ is a programming feature that allows users to draft and create their own Customized Alerts and Indicators. The IntelliScript™ is designed for the advanced chartist, with some programming experience. The option to execute a trade from a local IntelliScript™ strategy does require you to already have an alert created. We offer forex programming for clients at very low pricing.     Once the alert script is ready, attach it to the chart or data series, once attached follow these steps to enable strategy through the ATM:

    1. Click on the "Trading Signal Editor" tab in the ATM.

    2. Select the tab "My IntelliScript™ Strategies".

    3. At this point you may or may not see any strategies, go ahead and click "Refresh" to update. the ATM with you current IntelliScript™ strategies (alerts).



    4. Click on the name of the strategy that you which to use to execute a trade. Once selected, the pair and time frame that this script is attached to will appear in the second column.

    5. Click "Add>>" and the script will be added to the Symbol List on the right side.

    Email Notification:

    You can choose if you want to receive the email alert whenever a position is opened or closed on the "Options" tab. The email addresses are set in your "Default MailList" for the "Email" tab of the "IntelliScript™ Organizer" window in the IntelliChart™ Desktop.     On the "Options" tab, you can set how long you will be alerted if there is something wrong with your order.

  4. Send order from Server Strategy

    Certain charting users have access to server-side strategies and alerts. To execute a trade using a Server Strategy:

    1. Click on the "Trading Signal Editor" tab in the ATM.

    2. Select the "Server Strategies" tab.

    3. Choose the pair and time frame.

    4. When you have chosen the pair/time frame, click "Add".

    5. You will see the pair/time frame added to the Symbol list.

    6. Once the Server side signal has been generated, they will then show on the "Accounts" tab of the ATM as well as a signal and pop-up on the IntelliChart™ Desktop.

    7. For non-US based accounts, you can adjust the "Stop" and "Limit", by double-clicking on the "Stop" and "Limit files and entering a new value.

      Non-US Account holders:



      Non US-based accounts: You have the ability to adjust your Stop and Limits on the "Account" tab as well as on the "Trading Signal Editor" tab. To use the "Update Stop/Limit" button on the "Accounts" tab, you must first highlight a pair in the "Chart" or "FXCM" window.
